The 3 Steps Dry&Wet Square Pad is a product that redefines the polishing process. The biggest difference from traditional polishing pads isn't the material – it's the logic.

Traditional polishing requires 7 steps: 50# → 100# → 200# → 400# → 800# → 1500# → 3000#. Each step requires a pad change – 7 changes, 7 stops. The 3‑step system compresses this into 3 steps: Coarse grinding (100#–200#) → Medium grinding (400#–800#) → Fine polishing (1500#–3000#) . Each step covers 2‑3 traditional grits. One step does the work of two.

How does the 3‑step system work?

3‑step pads use gradient diamond distribution technology – each pad contains mixed grit sizes, not a single grit. The coarse pad (100#–200#) has both coarse and fine particles – coarse removes material while fine simultaneously refines scratches. One step, two grits' worth of work.

Why does square design matter?

Traditional pads are round – they can't reach edges. Walls and columns always leave a gap. Square pads have straight edges – they go right up to walls and columns. No tool change for edge work. Plus, the square shape creates a unique oscillating轨迹 during rotation, delivering more uniform coverage and reducing circular scratch patterns.

Key features:

3 steps from start to finish: 7 steps reduced to 3 – 57% fewer pad changes

Square design: Straight edges reach walls and corners – no死角

Dry and wet: Flexible for any site condition

Flexible backing: Suitable for curved surface polishing

Heat resistant up to 400°C: Won't burn even during dry grinding

Full grit coverage: 100#–3000# – 3 steps covers it all

Can 3‑step really replace 7‑step? Will the gloss suffer?

Yes. Gloss is just as good.

3‑step isn't "skipping steps" – it's "doing more per step." Traditional pads do one grit per step. 3‑step pads have 2‑3 grits mixed in each pad. The coarse pad (100#–200#) removes material AND refines scratches simultaneously. The medium pad (400#–800#) grinds and polishes in one pass.

Gloss data: 3‑step polished floors achieve gloss readings of 100 or higher. Traditional 7‑step achieves the same. Same result, half the time.

How do the grits map out? What does 100#–200# mean?

Each 3‑step pad covers 2‑3 traditional grits:

Step Grit coverage Equivalent traditional steps Use
Step 1 100#–200# 100# + 200# Coarse grinding, scratch removal, surface prep
Step 2 400#–800# 400# + 800# Medium grinding, fine grinding, beginning gloss
Step 3 1500#–3000# 1500# + 3000# Final polish, mirror gloss

100#–200# means: This pad contains both 100# and 200# diamond grit. Coarse particles "cut" (remove material), fine particles "grind" (refine scratches). One step does the work of two.

Our advice: Start with Step 1 and follow the sequence. Don't skip steps.

Can it be used dry? Which is better, dry or wet?

Works both dry and wet.

Wet: Water cooling, no dust, longer life. Best for large continuous jobs and dust‑sensitive environments.

Dry: Flexible and convenient, use with vacuum. Best for small areas and sites without water.

3‑step pads are heat resistant up to 400°C – they won't burn even during dry grinding.

Our advice:

Large indoor areas, dust‑sensitive → Wet

Small areas, no water on site → Dry + vacuum

Final step (Step 3) – wet recommended for best gloss

What materials can 3‑step pads work on? Concrete and stone both?

Yes, both.

Materials include:

Concrete (new/old, all strengths)

Granite, marble, limestone

Quartz, Dekton (sintered stone)

Ceramic, terrazzo

The flexible backing makes 3‑step pads especially suitable for curved surface polishing – countertop edges, curved stairs, curved stone.

Our advice: Tell us what material you're polishing – we'll recommend the starting step.
