Technical Parameters

Hot pressed – segments sintered under high heat and pressure. Dense, tough, wear‑resistant.

Segmented – the rim is divided into individual segments with wide gaps. Not for looks – for heat dissipation and chip evacuation. When cutting concrete or brick, dust flies out through the wide slots. No overheating.

Blade – mounts on angle grinders, cut‑off saws, floor saws. Built for heavy materials.

This is different from the narrow turbo blade. Narrow turbo is for delicate, expensive materials like porcelain tiles – thin kerf, smooth edge. Segmented is for concrete, red brick, asphalt, cement pipe, refractory brick, stone blocks – tough, abrasive stuff. It cuts fast, doesn't overheat, and takes punishment.

Usage Tips from Old‑School Contractors

1. "Break in" a new blade
Before cutting your good material, run the new blade on an old red brick or rough concrete block for 10-15 seconds. This exposes the diamond particles so the first cut bites hard.

2. Don't bury the blade constantly
Even though segmented blades dissipate heat well, they're not invincible. Every 1-2 minutes of cutting, lift the blade out of the kerf and let it run free for 5 seconds to cool. This simple habit adds a lot of life.

3. Hit rebar – don't rub
If your material contains rebar, don't let the blade rub against it for a long time. Instead, give a little extra push at the rebar spot – a "tap" rather than a "grind". This reduces the chance of segment loss.

4. Match RPM to material
Hard materials (granite, high‑strength concrete): use your grinder's lower speed setting – more torque, less bogging. Soft materials (red brick, asphalt): use high speed for faster cutting. Don't use one speed for everything.

5. Blade turned blue? Replace it
If the blade's core has turned blue, it has overheated. The steel has lost its temper – it's now soft and unsafe. Replace it. Next time, remember to pull it out and let it cool more often.

6. For wet cutting, aim water at the cut
If you add water, direct the stream at the cutting kerf – not the center of the blade. Water on the center just spins off. A small tube dripping exactly where the segment meets the material works best.
